I absolutely adore my Philips water dispenser—it’s been a game-changer in my daily routine. However, there’s just this one tiny hiccup that I’ve encountered: the constant need to refill its water tank. Determined to streamline the process, I came up with an ingenious idea of connecting a flexible pipe from the sink directly to the device itself. While this solution works splendidly, there’s a minor inconvenience that comes with it. I have to detach the top part, insert the pipe, turn on the water, and then close it back up, which can admittedly be a bit time-consuming.

Regrettably, Philips doesn’t provide spare parts, which has left me feeling somewhat disappointed. It’s disheartening how our culture often leans towards a “buy now, toss later” mentality.

So, why even bother, right? With this in mind, I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands. I’m planning to craft a new cover for the dispenser.

It took me a bit of time to perfect it, and I hope it might be of assistance to someone else facing a similar situation.
As Netflix wisely puts it, “Sharing is caring.” Below you can see how it did worked out in real life.
